The Holy Family

7 Nights / 8 Days

Day 1:
Arrival at Cairo Airport / meet & assistance through the formalities then transfer to your hotel & overnight.
Day 2:
After breakfast, start full day tour to visit: The Church of The Holy Virgin at Mostorod (10 KM North of Modern Cairo), The Ancient Ruins of The City of Tell Basta, (The Ruins of the Temple of the Cat Godess Bastet “believed to be destroyed by a Miracle of the Virgin and her Divine Son - When they visited The City”). Drive back to Cairo, and overnight at hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast visit the monasteries of Wadi El Natroun in the Eastern Sahara desert about half way between Cairo and Alexandria. This valley is considered the home of asceticism and worship and where holy Myroun oil can be obtained. A ‘must’ to visit is the monastery of St Macarius surrounded by a high wall with a large farm.
We will have Lunch at a local restaurant.
Also will be visited the monasteries of Anba Bishoy and Baranoss where His Holiness the late Coptic Pope Kyrillos VI was once a monk. Return to Cairo for dinner and overnight
Day 4:
After breakfast, start a full day tour to visit: The Holy Church of Sakha (crossing - The Nile Branch). The Blessed Dessert of Wadi EL Natroun: visiting at Wadi EL Natroun its famous Monasteries. Drive back to Cairo and overnight at hotel.
Day 5:
After breakfast, start a full day tour to visit: The City of El Bahnasa (The Monastery of The City), The old Monastery of Gebel EL Tayer (Mount of Birds), Drive back to Cairo and overnight at hotel.
Day 6:
A visit to old Cairo down near the River Nile. Here we will visit the district of Harat Zuwaila, and the 4th century churches including one dedicated to St George. In this area of ‘Coptic Cairo’ there are a number of churches, convents, narrow cobbled streets and the Coptic museum. One of the places we will visit will be El Muallaquah, the hanging church, built on the roof of twin towers of the Fortress of Babylon. This is believed to be the oldest Christian church in the world, and has been in constant use since the 4th Century. Lunch is provided during the day. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 7:
After breakfast, start full day tour to visit: The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, City orientation Tour, The Giza Pyramids and The Sphinx. Back to the hotel and overnight at hotel.
Day 8:
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport and final departure.
